FT St Pierre Du Jonquet (Normandy, France)

Gunnerspeg Galvanised (Calvin) is International Field Trial Champion!

We spend the weekend running one of the most natural trials you can find. Two days on snipe, probably the most exiting game bird.

First of all a massive thank you to Paul Lesage and his father for allowing us year after year to come and run our dogs. Laura and me have had the honour to shoot, pick up, judge and trial on this ground and it gives you a fantastic perspective on dog work. We each ran a dog on both days and came away with 4 awards, so two good days in the office.

Saturday 26/09:

Laura with Think Twice Va Va Voom at Grovery (Beech) - Very Good

Gunnerspeg Galvanised (Calvin) - Good

Sunday 27/09:

Laura with Think Twice Va Va Voom at Grovery (Beech) - Good

Gunnerspeg Galvanised (Calvin) - 1st Excellent CACT/CACIT

This win makes him International FT Ch and my 7th field trial champion.

Thank you to the judges (Anne Besnard and Stef Bollen), the club, the guns and everyone who made this weekend possible.

Our next stop is Denmark where I will represent Belgium at the European Retriever Championship together with Frank Redant.
